work trip

9 june - KL 1130am, penang 230pm.

12 june - penang 730pm, KL 1100pm

Was assigned to coordinate a conference @ traders hotel, penang. anak skippd sch, patut 2 days tp jd 3 days sbb die stil blum fully recharged. 

4 days @ penang tp x ke mane langsung. the afternoon we arrived sempat panjat 1st avenue mall, just beside the hotel. pegi beli brg2 unt conference, hadiah kuiz, items unt hamper la bagai. by the time blk hotel, it was already 9pm. konon nk pekena rojak buah gurney drive, skali langsung x larat bile nmpak katil! haha. 

The nxt day was the event itself. arrival o big bosses, participants, panelists. welcoming / opening remark followed by watever there was in the itinerary. ended wit bbq dinner. the lil one was left wit along to amuse themselves @ the cinema nearby. they watched madagascar 3, derang kata lawak gile. nsb la mall's just a stone's throw away. 

Nxt day pon same agenda. tp most bosses had to rush back to kl sbb ade PM visit. phewww. lega! Day 2 event went smooth. Mlm we were invited for a dinner @ our newly constructed admin building @ prai printing plant. Took the kids skali. ade kduri durian!!! gile la i had like 10 ulas that nite. nvr knew balik pulau durians r owh so sedap! even the lil one mkn byk. 

Day 3 was a bit kelam kabut. the hotel was running full house so we couldn't get late check out. event overan a bit, bus was already waiting since 430pm & we ended @ 6pm. sebelum blk sempat mkn cendol je @ belakang chow rasta. it was already 645pm then, nk beli jeruk pon x sempat. 

We crossd the bridge @ 8pm. ahmad nani lost consciousness the moment he got in the car, same happend to my oth 2 passengers. I was sleepy, knackered, tired beyond words. kept stepping on the accelerator sbb nk cepat smpai. nsb ade cd ust azhar idrus peneman. alhamdulillah we safely arrived @ 11pm. droppd a fren @ sri pentas & we were home the nxt 10 min.

Smpai rumah, dh x larat ape. tgk ahmad dhani terasa sayu. syukur sgt for this amazing boy. & syukur la ade along byk tlg itu ini. I fell asleep on couch wit that day's attire stil on. 12am I felt a soft lips pressing mine, & I heard a soft voice saying "mummy, I can't sleep. can I sleep wit u?" 

Aft an exhausting work trip, a tight hug fr the lil guy was really a blessing. alhamdulillah.

(pre) journey to the east

i've always wanted to go to sarawak. i think it's a fascinating place :) back in college years, i had some close frens fr sarawak but funds were always too limited to permit me 'naik belon' to visit the place.

but now wit 'everyone can fly' motto, i've become very accustomed to checking AA website every other day. & finally! i got a deal i just couldnt resist. return tixs to kuching for 200/pax. i'd be dumb if i let it slip so i just clicked & clicked & clicked & done ;)

must bring gadgets - camera, psp

personal paraphernalia - skin care, hair brush, make up brushes, loose powder, panty liners, kool fever patch,  breathe right, habatussawda ointment

favourite accessories - tudung clips (hair clips actually), bangles, necklaces, chunky rings, dangling brooches, pins for tudung

make ups - facial sunblock (white d-tox, biotherm), foundation (select cover-up, mac), fav lipsticks (579 musthave, dior addict lipstick & 682 rse mirage, dior addict high color), lip liner (06 apple cordial, estee lauder), lip gloss + roll-on perfume (very pretty, michael kors), shea lip butter (the body shop), cream colour base (kool frost, mac), quad-eye colour (majolica majorca), eyebrow definer (02 brown, the body shop), eye definer (carbon black, the body shop), mascara (090 diorshow extase, dior & false lash effect fusion, max factor), eyeliner (black, al sultanah fr madinah & liquid eyeliner 01, the body shop)

trying to fit both mine & dhani's outfits into 1 cabin bag. i packed for dhani 3 pair o jeans, 3 long sleeves tshirt, 5 tshirts, 3 pairs o pajamas, 4 pair o socks. i packed me 4 tops, 1 cardigan, 1 jeans, 2 pants, 3 nite tshirts, 2 nite leggings, 2 fancy belts (that i didnt even wear :p), i pair o nite socks

& i succeeded ;)

but o course these had to be put elsewhere (i seldom bring dhani's shoes coz more often than not, they wud end up being unworn. but i'm glad i brought them tis time coz kuching was rainy most o the time we were there. & dhani was safe. but i wasnt so lucky. as u could see, i brought peep-toe flats & a pair o sandals. wanted to be comfortable. yes, they were all comfy but my feet were wet & dirty. uhuhu)

these were in my sling bag - wet tissue, dry tissue, hand lotion, hair wax (dhani's), our shades, printed boarding passes, camera, psp, wristlet (had to wear wristlet instead o purse to be space savvy), & catherine lim's following the wrong god home (that remained unopened the whole hday thru. we slept in the flight like nobody's business since ours were early morning flight to & fro)

taraaa... we didnt had any cargo luggage. both were put in the cabin (yes, i'm such a cheapskate! wud try hard to travel light as i dont wanna pay for cargo luggage. haha)

owh. i schemed thru tis some nites prior to the trip. quite helpful. got it for RM12 @ BBW sale. 

the packing was completed the nite before our trip. & i couldnt sleep coz i was anxious. our flight was at 8am so we had to leave at 6am. i had to make sure all house chores were completed to avoid unnecessary stress post holiday. haha. i think i'm becoming a neat freak - doing laundry, dusting off furniture, cleaning the fridge etc etc etc. 

& just a couple o minutes before our ride arrived, i noticed that there was no tudung in our bag. not even one! phewww... lucky i did a final check. or else i wud have to spend on tudungs... or worse, being a cheapskate as i am, i'd be wearing only 1 tudung thruout the whole trip. hehehe.

CNY unwind 2012

last CNY we went to KB to attend a gud fren's wedding, only to find out that the wedding was tragically called off. but it was stil an enjoyable trip. managed to visit another gud fren & my ex-students :)

tis year's CNY, we went for an all-girls (dhani was the only guy!) shoppg  trip to bandung. ours was the earliest flight & we were awfully late! we ran across lcct, fearing that the plane wud  leave w'out us. our frens were all seated & worried that we wudnt make it on time. poor ahmad nani was made to sprint for about 15 minutes & we were both really running out o breath. we werent late on purpose tho. i had a very very very tiring week. the nite prior to our departure, we went to tropicana medical center to visit my nephew who was down wit influenza b (or was it b+? b-? not too sure already). i got home so knackered, hadnt done our packing & too exhausted to it so i had to get up at 430am to do it. huuu.

tho it was all insane that morning, we managed to get on that darn flight. heee.

there werent too many pixs. as excited as we (i mean, me & dhani) were, it felt so familiar that we couldnt really be bothered to pose here & there. in fact i spent much time resting, sleeping, recovering fr the exhausting week. & the lil one wanted to only see his dad actually... & spend time wit him :)

& managed 2 get seposen one way tickets to langkawi for me & ahmad nani. yippee!

but it's not happening until august 2012.

hahahahhaha. 

& it's tentatively a week aft raya. gara2 saya hanya merefer to school holiday calendar 2012, saya terover looked akan tarikh hari raya puasa 2012!

nsb baik lepas seminggu, kot awal seminggu sila beraya di langkawi :p
