ramadhan... brings back memories...

as ramadhan's nearing, i'm starting to feel a big knot in my tummy. it's my 2nd ramadhan as a single mom. & 2nd ramadhan for ahmad dhani to puasa btul. last year we had a maid, tho i seldom let her cook for us. at least she was efficient enuf to wake us up for sahur. based on the experience o previous ramadhan, ahmad dhani wudnt be able to survive a full day puasa w'out sahur. he'd wake up wailing, blaming me for missing sahur & refusing to fast. i really wish that wudnt happen tis ramadhan. i dont mind if he couldnt pull the puasa penuh stunt, but i doubt i could tolerate unpleasant early morning tantrums in the holy month o ramadhan. dhani's mama (my sister) has invited us to stay wit her family thruout fasting month. dhani was so delighted wen my sister first voiced it out. i wasnt really thrilled. i've grown soo attached to our humble crib that leaving it for one whole month at first sounded just absurd.

but then... ramadhan brings back dreadful memories fr two years ago. i admit it's just so shameful o me for associating the glorious & rewarding month of ramadhan to that most sorrowful time. sigh. how remarkable if our mind had cpu-like functions whereby we could just select & delete wicever parts that displease us & then copy & paste them wit wicever parts that amuse us. tragically, the mind & heart dont function that way. so here i am, being mercilessly assaulted by my own bitter memories.

& so i've decided to take up my sister's offer for the sake o my son & for that distant peace of mind. who knows in their presence, i might be able to cast that hurtful memories away & cherish ramadhan like others do... & ahmad dhani's ramadhan will be just as splendid! insyaAllah...

two songs that often get me started wit singing my heart out & ended wit crying my heart out. hah. wat tragic lyrics!

nway, we went to SD yamaha concert on 1 july. a tragically funny story it was. i knew the concert was on 1 july but bcoz i had bn terribly bz that week, it just slipped my mind that 1 july was that sunday aft our career fair in klcc. i had a weddg to attend on that sunday. & dared to make arrangement for a girls get2gether aftwards.

come 1 july, the phone reminder went off. 1 july, 1-5pm, yamaha concert, SD club house. there u go all the plans simply went down the drain. a fren chastised me even for ditching the plan. but wat wud u have me do? not like i had someone else to take dhani to the concert kan.

but nope, dhani wasnt performing but i was hell bent to take him to the concert so at least he wud know wat a yamaha sch concert looks, feels like.

a simple staging

solo violin was soothing but dhani said it made him sleepy

tis duo played classical. it made dhani even sleepier. hehe

tis is shawn, age 13. bn playing drum for only 4m. but he started wit electone so he's learning drum faster since he can already read notes

another drum solo. he's even older, age 15

my lil drummer. his instructor actually wanted to put his name down but he was too shy & wasnt confident enuf. it's ok, practice & learn more, nxt year we'll make sure he's in

& mb by nxt year he could play drum acoustic for jujur by radja & beribu sesalan by 3 suara for me ;) btw, choosing drum seems like a rite thing to do. had we decided on piano or violin, surely by now he'd have lost interest already based on his comments during the concert. hehe.
